Using the Digital Key

To use the Hyundai Digital Key mobile application, you must install the Hyundai Digital Key app. Search for "Hyundai Digital Key" in the Google Play Store and download the application. Please refer to the detailed Digital Key app manual. The option can be found in the following application menu:

Menu -> App Information -> Tutorial

WARNING

For a used vehicle

If any digital key (smartphone key or key card) is already registered, when you press the ENGINE START/STOP button to ON after unlocking the doors, the message "Digital Key(s) active" appears on the instrument cluster once. If you purchase a used vehicle, you must confirm the message and delete the registered smartphone key and key card. Also, notify the Hyundai Customer Service Center.

If the key card does not operate properly, delete the smartphone key and re-register the key card.

For vehicle service

If you need to repair or replace the digital key system, make sure your smartphone key is still active. You may need to pair the phone again.

In this case, re-initialize your digital keys using the Hyundai Digital Key mobile application.

Digital Key (Smartphone) NFC Function

You can use the NFC (Near Field Communication) digital key function after turning on the NFC settings on your smartphone. And you must unlock and turn on the smartphone screen to use it.

* To change the NFC mode of your smartphone, refer to the smartphone owner's manual or contact the smartphone manufacturer's customer service center.
