Child-Protector Rear Door Lock
The child-protector rear door lock is designed to prevent the rear doors from being accidentally opened by children inside the vehicle. Always use this feature when children are in the vehicle.
1. Open the rear door.
2. Move the child-protector lever on the rear edge of the door to the "Lock" position (
). When the lever is in this position, the rear door will not open even if the inside door handle is pulled from inside the vehicle.
3. Close the rear door.
To open the rear door, pull the outside door handle.
Even if the door locks are unlocked, the rear door will not open using the inside door handle (2) until the child-protector lock is unlocked.
