  • • Be sure to shift the transmission into N (Neutral) or P (Park). The engine will start only when the transmission is in the N (Neutral) or P (Park) position.
  • • Turn on the interior lights. If the lights dim or go out when you crank the starter, the battery is discharged. See the instructions in the "Jump Starting" section provided in this chapter.
  • • Check the fuel level and add fuel if necessary.

If the vehicle still does not start, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer for assistance.

NOTICE

Starting the vehicle by pushing or towing may overload the catalytic converter and damage the emission control system.
