Towing Services

A: Dolly

If towing is required, contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer or a commercial towing service.

All-wheel drive vehicles should be towed using a wheel lift and dolly or a flatbed with all wheels off the ground.

All-wheel drive vehicles can be towed with the rear wheels on the ground (without dollies) and the front wheels off the ground. Using wheel dollies or a flatbed is recommended. If any of the loaded wheels or suspension components are damaged, or if the vehicle is towed with the front wheels on the ground, use a towing dolly under the front wheels.

NOTICE

To avoid damage while towing:

  • • Do not lift the vehicle using the towing hook or body and chassis parts.
  • • Do not tow the vehicle with the front wheels on the ground.
  • • Do not tow vehicles using slings. Use only a wheel lift or flatbed equipment.

When towing a vehicle without a wheel dolly:

1. Release the EPB before turning off the engine.
2. Turn the ignition key to the LOCK/OFF position.
3. Shift the transmission to N (Neutral) while depressing the brake pedal.
4. Turn the ignition key to the ACC position.

NOTICE

Always shift the transmission to N (Neutral) before towing to prevent transmission damage.
