The power outlet is designed to power mobile phones and other devices designed for use with the vehicle's electrical system. Devices should draw less than 10 amps with the engine running.
WARNING
Avoid electric shock. Do not place fingers or foreign objects (pins, etc.) into the outlet or touch the outlet with wet hands.
CAUTION
To prevent damage to the power outlet:
- Use the power outlet only with the engine running and unplug the accessory after use. Using the outlet for an extended period with the engine off may discharge the battery.
- Use only 12 V electrical accessories with a current draw of less than 10 A. • Set the air conditioner or heater to the lowest operating level when using the power outlet.
- Keep the cover closed when the outlet is not in use.
- Some electronic devices may cause electronic interference when connected to the vehicle's power outlet. These devices may cause excessive static noise in audio, malfunctions in other electronic systems, or devices used in your vehicle.
- Fully insert the plug. If good contact is not made, the plug may overheat or the internal temperature fuse may blow.
