Rear Seats
Seatback Angle

To recline a seatback:
1. Pull up the seatback recline lever.
2. While holding the lever, adjust the seatback to the desired position.
3. Release the lever and make sure the seatback is locked. (The lever MUST return to its original position to lock the seatback.)
Folding the Rear Seat
The rear seatbacks can be folded down to make it easier to carry long items or to increase cargo space in the vehicle.
WARNING
- Never allow passengers to sit on top of a folded seatback while the vehicle is moving. The seat and seat belts are not correctly positioned for use. This may result in serious injury or death in a collision or sudden stop.
- Items carried with the seatback folded down must not extend higher than the top of the front seatbacks. This may allow cargo to slide forward and cause property damage, serious injury, or even death in a collision or sudden stop.

To fold the rear seatback:
1. Adjust the front seatback to the upright position and, if necessary, slide the front seat forward.
2. Lower the rear headrests to the down position by pressing and holding release button 1 and pressing the headrest down 2.

3. Insert the rear seat belt buckle into the pocket between the rear seatback and cushion, and insert the rear seat belt straps into the guide to prevent seat belt damage.

4. Pull up the seatback folding lever, then fold the seat forward.

To use the rear seatback folding function:
1. Lift the folding lever and slide the seatback rearward.
2. Push the seatback firmly until it clicks into place. Make sure the seatback is locked in position.
WARNING
Always secure the seatback properly. In a collision or sudden stop, an unlocked seatback may allow cargo to move forward with great force and may result in serious injury or death.
WARNING
Before loading or unloading cargo, make sure the engine is off, the vehicle is in P (Park), and the parking brake is applied to prevent unintended vehicle movement.
WARNING
Cargo must always be secured to prevent it from moving during a collision and causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. Do not place items on the rear seats, because they cannot be properly secured and may strike the front seat occupants in a collision.
