Seat Warmers

~2min read

The seat warmers are provided to heat the seats in cold weather.

In mild weather or when seat heaters are not needed, turn off the seat heaters.

WARNING

Seat heaters can cause serious burns even at low temperatures, especially during prolonged use.

Passengers should feel if the seat becomes too warm, so they can turn it off if necessary.

Use extreme caution with people who cannot detect temperature changes or skin pain, especially the following types of occupants:

  • Infants, children, elderly persons, or persons with disabilities or ambulatory impairments.
  • People with sensitive skin or who burn easily.
  • Fatigued persons.
  • Persons under the influence of alcohol.
  • Persons taking medications that may cause drowsiness.

Never place anything that insulates against heat on the seat while the seat heater is operating, such as a blanket or seat cushion.

NOTICE

To avoid damage to the seat warmers and seat:

  • Never use a solvent such as paint thinner, benzene, alcohol, or gasoline to clean the seats.
  • Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equipped with seat warmers.
  • Do not modify the seat upholstery.

With the engine running, press the switch to turn on the heating for the driver's seat, front passenger seat, or rear seats.

  • Manual Temperature Control

Each time you press the switch, the seat heat level changes as follows:

- Front seats

- Rear seats

  • Automatic Temperature Control

The temperature is automatically controlled to prevent low-temperature burns after manual activation.

- Front seats

- Rear seats

If HIGH temperature is selected again after the seat heater has been turned off, the temperature is controlled automatically again.

  • When the switch is pressed for more than 1.5 seconds while the seat heater is operating, the seat heater turns off.
  • The seat heater defaults to the OFF position whenever the ignition switch is in the ON position.
  • Auto Comfort Control (Driver's Seat) (if equipped)

- The seat heater automatically controls seat temperature based on the outside temperature and the climate control set temperature when the engine is running. If the seat heater switch is pressed, the seat heater is controlled manually.

- To use this function, it can be enabled in the settings menu of the infotainment system. Select: Settings > Vehicle > Seat (or Climate) > Heated/Ventilated Seats > Link to Climate Settings for Automatic Adjustment > Driver's Seat Heated/Ventilated

- The seat heater defaults to the OFF position whenever the ignition switch is ON. However, if the Auto Comfort Control function is enabled, the driver's seat heater turns on and off depending on the outside temperature and the climate control set temperature.
