Rear View Monitor Malfunction

If the rear view monitor does not operate properly, the screen flickers, or the camera image does not display normally, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Rear View Monitor Limitations

When your vehicle has been parked for a long time in winter or when your vehicle is parked in an enclosed parking area, exhaust gas may temporarily cloud the image.

WARNING

  • Always turn your head to check blind spots. The rear view camera does not cover the entire area behind your vehicle.
  • The distance displayed on the screen may differ from the actual distance.
  • Always keep the rear view camera lens clean. If the lens is blocked or covered, the rear view monitor may not operate properly. Do not clean with strong chemicals containing high alkaline or volatile organic solvents (for example, gasoline, acetone).
