Adjustment

TCM Learning

If a shift shock occurs or when parts related to the transmission are replaced, TCM learning must be performed. TCM learning is required in the following cases.
  • Transaxle Assembly Replacement
  • TCM Replacement
  • TCM Upgrade
  1. TCM Learning Conditions
    A. ATF Temperature: 60 ~ 115 °C
  2. TCM Learning Procedure
    A. Stop learning. Repeat the shift pattern described below four or more times while depressing the brake pedal.
    B. Driving Learning
    1. Drive the vehicle in all gears within the D range. Drive from a stop in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, keeping the accelerator pedal at a fixed position.
    2. Downshift from 6th to 5th, 5th to 4th, 4th to 3rd, 3rd to 2nd, 2nd to 1st.
    3. Repeat the driving pattern described above four or more times. Throttle opening during upshift: 15 ~ 30%.
