Door Removal Warning Label

  • All passengers must wear seat belts when off-road driving with the doors removed. For off-road driving tips, refer to the owner's manual.
  • Do not store removed doors inside the vehicle, as they may cause injury in the event of an accident.

The outside rearview mirrors are mounted on the doors. If you choose to remove the doors, see an authorized dealer to replace the outside mirrors. Federal law requires outside mirrors on vehicles operated on public roads.

NOTE:

  • Doors are heavy; use caution when removing them.
  • The hinge pin may break if overtightened during door reinstallation (maximum torque: 7.5 ft-lbs/10 N·m). Refer to off-road driving tips.
  • When the front doors are removed, the "Blind Spot Warning Temporarily Unavailable" message will be displayed in the instrument cluster. Power mirrors and power door locks will also be unavailable.
  1. Lower the window to prevent damage.
  2. Remove the hinge pin screws from the upper and lower outside hinges (using a Torx #T50 screwdriver bit).

    NOTE:

The hinge pin screws and nuts can be stored in the rear cargo tray located under the rear cargo floor.
