Keyless Enter-N-Go — Passive Entry (If Equipped)
In this manual: KNOW YOUR VEHICLE
~1min read
The Passive Entry system is a feature that allows locking and unlocking of the vehicle door(s) and swing gate without pressing the lock or unlock buttons on the key fob.
NOTE:
- Passive Entry can be programmed to be turned on/off in the Uconnect settings.
- The key fob may not be recognized by the Passive Entry system if it is placed near a mobile phone, laptop, or other electronic device. These devices may interfere with the key fob's wireless signal and prevent the Passive Entry system from locking/unlocking the vehicle.
- When Passive Unlock Approach Lighting is activated, the headlights, license plate lights, and parking lights illuminate for a selected period of 0, 30, 60, or 90 seconds. Passive Unlock also causes the turn signal lights to flash twice.
- If you are wearing gloves or if it is raining/snowing on the Passive Entry door handle, unlock sensitivity may be affected, resulting in a slower response time.
- If the vehicle is unlocked with Passive Entry and no door is opened within 60 seconds, the vehicle will relock and, if equipped, the vehicle security system will arm.
