NOTE:
The mechanical folding key can be used to lock or unlock the doors, swing gate (if equipped with a lock), glove box, and center console storage compartment.
- For personal security and crash safety, lock the vehicle doors when driving, as well as when parking and exiting the vehicle.
- When exiting the vehicle, always turn the ignition off and remove the key from the vehicle. Uncontrolled use of vehicle equipment may result in serious personal injury or death.
- Never leave children alone in a vehicle, or with access to an unlocked vehicle.
- Allowing children to be in a vehicle unattended is dangerous for many reasons. A child or others could be seriously or fatally injured. Children should be instructed not to touch the parking brake, brake pedal, or gear selector.
- Do not leave the key fob inside or near the vehicle, or in a location accessible to children. A child may operate power windows, other controls, or move the vehicle.
