Supplemental Side Airbags
Seat-Mounted Side Airbags (SAB)
This vehicle is equipped with Seat-Mounted Side Airbags (SAB).
Seat-Mounted Side Airbags (SAB) are located on the outboard side of the front seats. The SABs are labeled "SRS AIRBAG" or "AIRBAG" on the label or on the seat trim on the outboard side of the seats.
SABs can help reduce the risk of occupant injury in certain side impacts, in addition to the injury-reduction potential provided by the seat belts and the body structure.

Seat-Mounted Side Airbag Label
When the SAB deploys, it opens a seam on the outboard side of the seatback trim. The inflating SAB emerges through the seat seam into the space between the occupant and the door. The SAB moves at very high speed and with such force that it can injure occupants who are seated improperly or if objects are located in the area where the SAB inflates. Children are at even greater risk of injury from a deploying airbag.
