Tire Rotation Recommendations
The tires on the front and rear of your vehicle operate under different loads and perform different steering, control, and braking functions. For these reasons, they wear at different rates.
These effects can be reduced by timely tire rotation. The benefits of rotation are especially important with aggressive tread patterns, such as on On/Off Road type tires. Rotation will increase tread life, help maintain wet, snow, and mud traction, and contribute to smooth, quiet ride.
Rotate tires at the proper service intervals. Causes of any rapid or unusual wear must be corrected before rotation is performed.
The recommended rotation method is the "rearward cross" pattern shown in the following illustration.
