Removal and Installation

  1. Drain the engine oil. (Refer to Lubrication System - "Engine Oil")
  2. Remove the center water pipe. (Refer to Cooling System - "Water Temperature Control Assembly")
  3. Wait 5 minutes after loosening the oil filter cover to allow the oil to drain fully from the oil filter.
  4. Remove the oil filter housing (A).

    Tightening torque: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m
    • Make sure all rubber gaskets are not damaged during assembly.
    • Do not reuse the oil filter housing O-ring.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Start the engine and check for oil leaks.
  7. Recheck the engine oil level.
