Deadlocks

Some vehicles are equipped with a lockout system. The locks prevent the doors from being opened from inside or outside the vehicle once the locks have been activated, providing an additional measure of vehicle security.

To lock the vehicle using the lock function, the doors must be locked with the transmitter or Smart Key. To unlock the vehicle, use the transmitter or Smart Key again.

WARNING

Do not lock the doors with the transmitter or Smart Key if someone is still inside the vehicle. A passenger inside the vehicle cannot unlock the doors using the door lock button. For example, if the doors are locked with the transmitter, a passenger inside the vehicle cannot open the door without the transmitter.
