In this manual: What to Do in an Emergency
~1min read
The jack is intended for emergency tire changes only.
To prevent the jack from rattling while the vehicle is moving, store it properly.
Follow the jacking instructions to reduce the risk of injury.
WARNING - Tire Replacement
- Never attempt to service the vehicle on the lanes of public roads or highways.
- Always move the vehicle completely from the road to the shoulder before attempting to replace a tire. The jack should be used on a level, firm surface. If you cannot find a firm, level place off the road, call a towing company for assistance.
- Make sure you use the correct front and rear jacking positions on the vehicle; never use the bumpers or any other part of the vehicle for jacking.
- The vehicle may easily slip off the jack, which may result in serious injury or death.
- Do not get under a vehicle supported by a jack.
- Do not start or run the engine while the vehicle is supported by the jack.
- Do not allow anyone to remain in the vehicle while it is supported by the jack.
- Make sure all children present are in a safe place away from the road and the vehicle being raised with the jack.
