Operation of the Keyless Remote Entry System

Enter

• To unfold the key, press the unlock button (1), after which the key will unfold automatically.
• To fold the key, fold it manually while pressing and holding the release button.

CAUTION

Do not fold the key without pressing the release button. This may damage the key.

Type B

• To remove the mechanical key, press and hold the release button (1) and remove the mechanical key (2).
• To reinstall the mechanical key, insert the key into the slot and push it in until a click is heard.

Lock (1)

1. Close all doors.

2. Press the lock button.

3. The hazard warning lamp will flash once, indicating that all doors are locked (the hood and tailgate must be closed). Also, the outside rearview mirrors will fold automatically if the outside mirror folding switch (type B) is in the AUTO position (if equipped).

✽ NOTICE

The doors will not lock if any door is open.

Unlock (2)

1. Press the unlock button.

2. The hazard warning lamps will flash twice, indicating that all doors are unlocked. Also, the outside rearview mirrors will unfold automatically if the outside mirror folding switch (type B) is in the AUTO position (if equipped).

✽ NOTICE

After all doors are unlocked, the doors will lock again and the outside rearview mirrors will unfold (if the outside mirror folding switch (type B) is in the AUTO position, if equipped) if no door is opened within 30 seconds.
