- The vehicle should be towed at a speed of 25 km/h or less for a distance of 20 km (12.4 miles).
- If the vehicle is towed with all four wheels on the ground, it may only be towed from the front. Make sure the transmission is in neutral. Make sure the steering is unlocked by placing the ignition switch in the ACC position. The driver must be in the vehicle being towed to operate the steering and brakes.
CAUTION - Dual Clutch Transmission
- If the vehicle is towed with all four wheels on the ground, it may only be towed from the front. Make sure the transmission is in the N (Neutral) position. Make sure the steering is unlocked by placing the ignition switch in the ACC position. The driver must be in the vehicle being towed to operate the steering and brakes.
- To avoid serious damage to the dual clutch transmission, limit vehicle speed to 15 km/h and do not tow more than 1.5 km (1 mile).
- Before towing, check the dual clutch transmission for fluid leaks under your vehicle. If dual clutch transmission fluid is leaking, wheel lift or flatbed towing equipment must be used.
CAUTION - Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT)
Vehicles with an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) may only be towed by conventional towing equipment when there is no IVT fluid leakage. If towed by conventional towing equipment in the event of fluid leakage, the transmission may be damaged. If towed by conventional towing equipment in the event of fluid leakage, the transmission may be damaged.
CAUTION - Intelligent Variable Transmission

Make sure the steering is unlocked by placing the ignition switch in the ACC position. The driver must be in the vehicle being towed to operate the steering and brakes.
- To avoid serious damage to the Intelligent Variable Transmission, limit vehicle speed to 15 km/h and tow less than 1.5 km (1 mile).
