Inspection

  1. Turn the ignition off.
  2. Disconnect the IAT sensor connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between terminals 3 and 4 of the IAT sensor.
  4. Make sure the resistance is within specification.
    Temperature [°C(°F)] Resistance (k?)
    -40(-40) 40,93 ~ 48,35
    -20(-4) 13.89 ~ 16.03
    0(32) 5,38 ~ 6,09
    10(50) 3,48 ~ 3,90
    20(68) 2,31 ~ 2,57
    40(104) 1,08 ~ 1,21
    50(122) 1,56 ~ 1,74
    60(140) 0,54 ~ 0,62
    80(176) 0,29 ~ 0,34

Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Disconnect the MAP sensor connector (A).
  3. Remove the mounting bolt (B) and remove the sensor from the expansion tank.

Installation

  • Install the component with the specified torque.
  • Note that internal damage may occur if the component is dropped. In this case, inspect it before use.
  • Insert the sensor into the mounting hole, being careful not to damage it during installation.
  1. Install in the reverse order of removal. MAP sensor mounting bolt: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m
