Quarter Fixed Glass Installation

Using a scraper, scrape off the old adhesive to a thickness of about 2 mm (0.08 in) on the bonding surface along the entire quarter fixed glass flange.

A.	Do not scrape down to the painted body surface; damaged paint will interfere with proper bonding.

B.	Mask the surrounding surfaces before painting.

C.	Remove the clips from the body.

Clean the body bonding surface with a sponge soaked in alcohol. After cleaning, make sure oil, grease, and water do not contaminate the surface.

Using a sponge, apply a thin coat of glass primer along the edge of the quarter fixed glass as shown in the illustration, then lightly wipe it with gauze or cloth:

A.	Do not apply body primer to the quarter fixed glass, and do not mix up the body primer and glass primer sponges.

B.	Never touch the primed surfaces with your hands. If you do, the adhesive may not bond properly to the quarter fixed glass, causing leaks after installation.

C.	Do not allow water, dust or abrasive materials to contact the primed surface.

Using a sponge, apply a thin coat of body primer to the remaining adhesive around the flange. Allow the body primer to dry for at least 10 minutes.

A.	Do not apply glass primer to the body, and be careful not to mix up the glass primer and body primer sponges.

B.	Never touch primed surfaces with your hands.

Remove the tape attached to the quarter fixed glass.

Install the four quarter fixed glass mounting nuts.

Install the side fixed glass (A).

Tightening Torque: 5.9 ~ 6.4 N·m

Allow the adhesive to cure for at least one hour, then spray water on the rear window and check for leaks. Mark any leak points, allow the rear window to dry, then seal with sealant. Allow the vehicle to stand for at least four hours after rear window installation. If the vehicle must be used during the first four hours, drive it slowly.

Install all remaining removed parts.

Install the following components.

A.	Rear Pillar Trim

B.	C-pillar garnish

C.	Luggage Side Trim

D.	Rear Cross Garnish

E.	Rear Door Scuff Trim

F.	Third Row Seat Assembly

G.	Second Row Seat Assembly
