  1. Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the lower instrument panel cover. (Refer to Body - "Lower Instrument Panel Cover")
  3. Remove the junction box. (Refer to Body Electrical System - "Relay Box (Passenger Compartment)").
  4. Disconnect the parking brake switch connector.
  5. Remove the parking brake cable bracket nuts (A).
  6. Remove the parking brake pedal mounting bolts (A) and nut (B).
  7. Disconnect the parking brake cable from the clip (A, B), then remove the parking brake pedal.
