Curtain Airbag (CAB) Module Description and Operation

~1min read

Description

Curtain airbags (CAB) are installed inside the headliner (left and right) to protect the driver and passenger from injury in a side collision. The SRSCM determines curtain airbag deployment using the side impact sensor (SIS) signal.
Never attempt to measure the resistance of the airbag circuit. Even with the specified circuit tester, measuring the circuit resistance with a tester may cause accidental airbag deployment, resulting in serious injury.
