Description and Operation

Description

The ratcheting tightening device on the fuel tank cap threaded cap reduces the possibility of improper installation that would fail to seal the fuel filler neck. After the gasket on the fuel tank cap and the filler neck flange make contact, the ratchet makes an audible click, indicating the seal is installed.
