Conditions under which the Rear Parking Warning does not function

~1min read

The rear parking warning may not work correctly in the following cases:

1. The sensor is frozen. (It operates normally once the moisture has been removed.)

2. The sensor is contaminated, for example with snow or water, or the sensor cover is blocked. (It operates normally once the foreign matter is removed or the sensor is no longer blocked.)

3. Driving on uneven surfaces (dirt roads, gravel and crushed stone, steep slopes).

4. Objects producing excessive noise (vehicle horns, loud motorcycle or truck air brakes) located within the sensor detection range.

5. Heavy rain and spray.

6. Transmitters or mobile phones transmitting within the sensor detection range.

7. Sensors covered with snow.

8. Trailer

The detection area may be reduced under the following conditions:

1. The sensors are contaminated, e.g. with snow or water. (If the contamination is removed, the detection area returns to normal.)

2. Extreme outside air temperature, hot or cold.

The following objects may not be detected by the sensors:

1. Sharp or thin objects, such as ropes, chains or small stakes.

2. Objects that absorb the sensor transmission frequency, e.g. clothing, spongy material or snow.

3. Objects less than 1 m in height and less than 14 cm in diameter are not detected.
