Precautions for the Parking Assist Warning

• The function of the parking assist may be impaired if the height of the bumper or the mounting of the sensors is changed or damaged. Equipment or accessories not installed at the factory may also interfere with sensor performance.
• The sensors may not detect objects, or may detect an incorrect distance, if objects are lower than 30 cm from the sensors. Drive carefully.
• Wenn die Sensoren vereist oder mit Schnee, Schmutz oder Wasser verdeckt sind, können sie solange ohne Funktion bleiben, bis sie mit einem weichen Lappen gereinigt werden.
• Do not press, scratch or strike the sensors. This may cause sensor damage.

WARNING

This system can only detect objects within the detection area and detection range of the sensors. It cannot detect objects outside this area, for which no sensors are installed. Furthermore, the system may not detect obstacles such as posts or walls, as well as objects located between the sensors.

When reversing, always check yourself that the area behind your vehicle is clear.

Make sure that other drivers of your vehicle who are not familiar with the operation of the parking assist are aware of the capabilities and limitations of the system.

WARNING

Be very attentive when the vehicle is near objects on the road, and especially near pedestrians and children. Always remember that some objects may not be detected by the sensors due to their distance, size or material. All of these factors can affect sensor effectiveness. Always check visually that there are no obstacles in front of or behind the vehicle before driving.
