Rear Child Safety Lock

The rear child safety locks prevent children from accidentally opening the rear doors from inside the vehicle. Always engage the child safety locks when children are in the vehicle.
1. Open the tailgate.
2. Insert the key (or a screwdriver) into the slot and turn it to the "LOCK" position (
) (Lock). When the child safety lock lever is in the "Lock" position, the rear door cannot be opened from the inside using the inside door handle.
3. Close the rear door.
To open the rear door again, pull the outside door handle.
Even when the vehicle doors are unlocked, the rear door can only be opened from the inside door handle when the child safety lock is unlocked again.
