Emergency Equipment

~2min read

Your vehicle contains several emergency equipment components to help you respond correctly in emergency situations.

Fire Extinguisher

If you know how to use the fire extinguisher, carefully follow these steps to extinguish a small fire.

1. Ziehen Sie an der Nadel oben am Feuerlöscher, die verhindert, dass der Griff des Feuerlöschers versehentlich gedrückt wird.

2. Aim the nozzle at the base of the fire.

3. Stand approximately 2.5 m away from the fire and press the handle to operate the fire extinguisher. When you release the handle, the discharge stops.

4. Sweep the nozzle back and forth across the base of the fire. When the fire appears extinguished, watch it carefully so it does not reignite.

First Aid Kit

The first aid kit contains, for example, scissors, bandages, adhesive tape, etc., for providing first aid to an injured person.

Warning Triangle

Stellen Sie das Warndreieck auf die Straße, um bei Notfällen andere Fahrzeuge zu warnen, beispielsweise wenn das Fahrzeug aufgrund von Problemen am Straßenrand geparkt ist.

Tire Pressure Gauge (if equipped)

Tires normally lose some air during daily use, so you must check and add air regularly. This is usually not a sign of a leak, but of normal wear. Always check tire pressure when tires are cold, because tire pressure increases with temperature.

Gehen Sie wie folgt vor, um den Reifendruck zu prüfen:

1. Remove the valve cap, located on the wheel rim.

2. Press the gauge firmly against the tire valve. Some air will escape when you attach the gauge. If the gauge is not seated properly, more air will be lost.

3. Press the gauge firmly against the valve so that the gauge reads the tire pressure.

4. Read the tire pressure on the gauge to determine whether the tire pressure is too high or too low.

5. Adjust the tire pressure to the specified tire pressure. Refer to "Tires and Wheels" on page 9-06.

6. Reinstall the valve cap.
