System Not Activated

The system is not active if:

Fernbedienung

- The door unlock button is pressed.
- The engine is started.
- The ignition switch is kept in the "ON" position for 30 seconds or longer.

Smart Key

- The door unlock button is pressed.
- The button on the front outside door handle is pressed and the smart key is nearby.
- The engine is started.

After the doors are unlocked, the hazard warning lights flash twice briefly to indicate that the system is deactivated.

If no door (or the trunk lid) is opened within 30 seconds after pressing the unlock button, the system is automatically reactivated.

• Avoid starting the engine while the alarm is armed. While the theft alarm is active, the starter of the vehicle is disabled. If the system was not deactivated with the remote transmitter, insert the key into the ignition switch, turn the ignition on and wait 30 seconds. After that, the system is deactivated.

WARNING

Do not modify or alter the immobilizer, as this could damage it. Have the system checked by a qualified workshop. Kia recommends visiting a Kia dealer/service partner.
