Allgemeine Hinweise

• To prevent dust or unpleasant odors from entering the vehicle through the ventilation system, temporarily switch on recirculation mode. Make sure fresh air mode is switched back on once the outside air quality returns to normal, so that fresh air can enter the vehicle. Fresh air keeps the driver alert and is more comfortable.
• Fresh air for the heater/air conditioner is drawn in through the grille at the bottom of the windshield. Always make sure this air intake is not blocked by leaves, snow, ice, or other objects.
• To prevent the windshield from fogging up, turn on the fresh air mode, set the desired blower speed, turn on the A/C, and set the desired temperature.

1. Start the engine. Press the A/C button.

2. Set the mode to the position .

3. Turn on the fresh air or recirculation mode.

4. Set the blower speed and temperature for comfort.

WARNING

• The refrigerant system must be serviced only by trained and certified technicians to ensure proper and safe operation.
• The refrigerant system must be serviced only in a well-ventilated area.
• The A/C evaporator (cooling coil) must not be repaired or replaced, nor replaced with an evaporator removed from an old vehicle. Newly installed MAC evaporators must meet SAE standard J2842 and be marked accordingly.

WARNING

• Watch the engine temperature gauge carefully when driving with the A/C on at high outside temperatures on uphill grades or in heavy city traffic. Operating the A/C may cause the engine to overheat. If the engine begins to overheat, turn off the A/C and leave the blower running.
• If the windows are open in high humidity, condensation droplets may form inside the vehicle while the air conditioner is on. Since large amounts of condensation may damage the electrical system, operate the air conditioner only with the windows closed.

Tipps für die Bedienung der Klimaanlage

• If the vehicle is parked in the sun in high outside temperatures, open the windows briefly to allow hot air to escape from the vehicle.
• Turn on the air conditioner on rainy or humid days to reduce the humidity inside the vehicle and prevent the windows from fogging up.
• With the air conditioner on, you may occasionally notice a slight change in idle speed when the A/C compressor switches on or off. This is a normal occurrence when operating the air conditioner.

• During or after operation of the air conditioner, clear condensation water may drip from the vehicle onto the floor on the passenger side, or may even form a puddle. This is a normal occurrence when operating the air conditioner.
• When the air conditioner is operated in recirculation mode, the cooling effect is maximized; however, if this mode is used for a long time, the air quality inside the vehicle may deteriorate.
• During the cooling process, you may sometimes notice a slightly misty airflow, because cooling occurs too quickly and humid outside air flows in. This is a normal occurrence when operating the air conditioner.
