Climate Control Air Filter

~1min read

The climate control air filter, located behind the glove box, filters dust and other contaminants that enter the vehicle from outside through the heating and air conditioning system. If dust or other contaminants accumulate in the filter over time, airflow from the vents may decrease, which may cause moisture to build up on the inside of the windshield, even when outside (fresh) air is selected. If this occurs, we recommend that the climate control air filter be replaced by an authorized Kia dealer.

✽ NOTICE

  • Replace the filter in accordance with the Maintenance Schedule. If the vehicle is driven under severe conditions, such as dusty or rough roads, more frequent inspection and replacement of the climate control air filter may be necessary.
  • If airflow suddenly decreases, we recommend that the system be inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
