Jacking Instructions
The jack is intended for emergency use only for tire replacement.
To prevent the jack from rattling while driving, store it properly and fully tighten the jack retaining screw.
Follow the lifting instructions to reduce the possibility of injury.
WARNING - Tire Replacement
- Never attempt to repair the vehicle on a public roadway or highway traffic lane.
- Always move the vehicle completely off the road onto the shoulder before attempting to change a tire. The jack must be used on a firm, level surface. If you cannot find a firm, level place to move off the road, call a tow truck or service company for assistance.
- Be sure to use the correct front and rear jacking positions on the vehicle; never use the bumpers or any other part of the vehicle to support the jack.
- The vehicle may easily slip off the jack, causing serious injury or death.
- Do not get under a vehicle that is supported only by a jack.
- Do not start or run the engine while the vehicle is on the jack.
- Do not allow anyone to remain in the vehicle while it is on the jack.
- Make sure children are kept in a safe place away from the road, and that the vehicle is raised with the jack only.
