WARNING

We recommend using replacement parts from an authorized Kia dealer. If an aftermarket key is used, the ignition switch may not return to ON from START. If this happens, the starter will continue to operate, causing damage to the starter and possible fire due to excessive current in the wiring.

CAUTION - Ignition Key (Smart Key)

Leaving children unattended in a vehicle with a Smart key is dangerous, even if the key is not in the ignition or the start button is in the ACC or ON position. Children copy adults and may place the key in the ignition or press the start button. The Smart key will allow children to operate power windows or other controls, or even cause the vehicle to move, which may result in serious injury or even death. Never leave children unattended in your vehicle with the engine running.
