The rear window defroster heats the glass to remove frost, fog and thin ice from the inside and outside surfaces of the rear window while the engine is running.

• To activate the rear window defroster, press the rear window defroster button located in the center of the control panel. The rear window defroster indicator light on the button illuminates when the defroster is on.
• To turn off the rear window defroster, press the rear window defroster button again.

✽ NOTICE

• If heavy snow has accumulated on the rear window, clear it before operating the rear window defroster.
• The rear window defroster automatically turns off after approximately 20 minutes or when the ignition switch is turned off.

Heated Mirrors

The outside rearview mirror heaters will also operate when the rear window defroster is turned on.

Windshield Wiper De-icer

The windshield wiper de-icer will also operate at the same time the rear window defroster is turned on.
