  • A maximum of 2 smart keys can be registered to one vehicle. If you lose a smart key, we recommend that you contact an authorized Kia dealer.
  • The smart key will not work if any of the following occurs:
    - The smart key is near a radio transmitter, such as a broadcasting station or airport, which may interfere with normal operation of the smart key.
    - The smart key is near a mobile two-way radio system or cellular phone.
    - The smart key of another vehicle is operating near your vehicle.
When the smart key does not operate properly, lock and unlock the door with the mechanical key. If you have a problem with the smart key, we recommend that you contact an authorized Kia dealer.
  • If the smart key is in close proximity to your mobile phone or smartphone, the signal from the smart key may be blocked by the normal operation of your cellular phone or smartphone. This is especially important when the phone is active, for example ringing, receiving calls, text messaging and/or sending/receiving e-mail. Avoid placing the smart key and your mobile phone or smartphone in the same trouser or jacket pocket and maintain an adequate distance between the two devices.

CAUTION

Keep the smart key away from water or any other liquid. If the smart entry system does not operate due to exposure to water or liquids, it is not covered by your vehicle manufacturer's warranty.
