Replacing an Engine Compartment Fuse

1. Turn the ignition switch and all other switches off.
2. Remove the fuse panel cover by pressing the tab and pulling the cover upward.
3. Inspect the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown. To remove or insert a fuse, use the fuse puller in the fuse block in the engine compartment.
4. Insert a new fuse of the same rating and make sure it is firmly seated in the clips. If it does not seat securely, contact an authorized Kia dealer.
CAUTION
Always install the engine compartment fuse panel cover securely to protect against power supply failures that may occur due to contact with water. Listen for an audible click to confirm that the fuse panel cover is securely fastened.
Multi Fuse

✽ NOTICE
Do not disassemble or reassemble the multi-fuse if it is secured with nuts and bolts. Incorrect or incomplete torque during assembly may cause a fire. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
Main Fuse

✽ NOTICE
Do not disassemble or reassemble the multi-fuse if it is secured with nuts and bolts. Incorrect or incomplete torque during assembly may cause a fire. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
✽ NOTICE
The electrical system may malfunction even if the engine compartment and individual instrument panel fuses are not blown. In this case, the cause of the problem may be a disconnected main fuse (BFT type), which is located inside the battery positive (+) terminal cover.
Because the main fuse has a more complex structure than other parts, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
CAUTION
Visually inspect the battery cover to make sure it is securely closed. If the battery cover is not closed tightly, moisture may enter the system and damage electrical components.
