- The rear parking distance warning may sound inconsistently depending on the vehicle speed and the shape of the detected objects.
- The rear parking distance warning may malfunction if the bumper height or sensor installation has been changed or damaged. Any non-factory installed equipment or accessories may also affect sensor operation.
- The sensor may not detect objects within 40 cm (15 in.) of the sensor, or it may detect an incorrect distance. Be careful.
- If the sensor is frozen or covered with snow, dirt or water, the sensor may not operate until the material is removed with a soft cloth.
- To prevent damage, do not press, scratch or strike the sensor.
✽ NOTICE
This system can detect objects only within the range and location of the sensors. It cannot detect objects in other areas where sensors are not installed. Also, small or thin objects, such as poles or objects located between the sensors, may not be detected by the sensors.
Always visually check the area behind the vehicle when reversing.
Be sure to inform all drivers of the vehicle who may be unfamiliar with the system about its capabilities and limitations.
