Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Align the front wheels straight ahead by turning the steering wheel.

  2. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  3. Remove the driver airbag module.

    (Refer to "Restraint System - Driver Airbag Module (DAB) and Clock Spring")

  4. Disconnect the steering wheel connector (A).

  5. Remove the steering wheel (A) after loosening the lock bolt.

    Tightening torque: 39.2 - 49 N·m

Disassembly

  1. Loosen the mounting screw of the combination switch.

  2. Disconnect the combination switch connector and remove the combination switch (A).

  3. Remove the Steering Wheel Trim

    1. Loosen the trim mounting screws.

    2. Separate the steering wheel trim (A) from the wheel body.

    3. Disconnect the remote control switch connectors on the steering wheel (A).

  4. Disconnect the steering wheel heater connector (A), then remove the steering wheel lower cover.

Installation

  1. Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
