Checking Tire Inflation Pressure
1. After driving approximately 7~10 km (4~6 miles, or about 10 minutes), stop in a suitable place.
2. Connect the filler hose (3) directly to the compressor (clamp side), then connect the other end of the filler hose (3) (opposite side) to the tire valve.
3. Connect the compressor to the vehicle battery using the cable and plugs.
4. Adjust the tire pressure to 230 kPa (33 psi). With the ignition on, proceed as follows.
- To increase the internal pressure: Turn on the compressor, position I. To check the current inflation pressure setting, briefly turn off the compressor.
WARNING
Do not run the compressor for more than 10 minutes, otherwise the unit may overheat and be damaged.
- To reduce the tire pressure: Press the button (9) on the compressor.
CAUTION
If the tire pressure cannot be maintained, drive the vehicle for a second time; see "Distributing the sealant". Then repeat steps 1 to 4. Use of the TMK may be ineffective if the tire damage is larger than approximately 4 mm (0.16 in).
Contact a professional workshop if the tire cannot be made serviceable with the Tire Mobility Kit. Kia recommends visiting an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.
WARNING
Tire pressure must be at least 230 kPa (33 psi). If not, do not continue driving. Call roadside assistance or a tow service.
