Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Remove the engine cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - Engine Cover)
  2. Drain the engine coolant. (Refer to Cooling System — Engine Coolant)
  3. Disconnect the engine oil cooler coolant hoses (A).
  4. Remove the oil filter. (Refer to Lubrication - "Engine Oil")
  5. Loosen the mounting bolt (A) and remove the engine oil cooler assembly (B).

Installation

  1. Apply a thin layer of engine oil to the sealing surface of the oil cooler (A), then install the oil cooler with the mounting bolt (B).

    Tightening Torque: 44.1–54 N·m

  2. Apply a thin layer of engine oil to the sealing surface of the oil filter, then install the oil filter. (Refer to Lubrication - "Engine Oil")
  3. Connect the oil cooler coolant hoses (A).
  4. Fill the radiator with coolant and check for leaks.
