Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Remove the engine compartment cover. (Refer to Engine and Transaxle Assembly - "Engine Compartment Under Cover")
  2. Drain the engine oil. (Refer to Lubrication System - "Engine Oil")
  3. Remove the oil pan (A). Insert the SST blade (09215-3C000) between the ladder frame and the oil pan. Cut the applied sealant and remove the oil pan.
  4. Remove the oil filter (A).

Installation

  1. Install the oil filter (A).

    Tightening Torque: 9.8–11.8 N·m

  2. Using a gasket scraper, remove all old sealant from the gasket surfaces.
  3. Before installing the oil pan, apply liquid sealant to the lower oil pan. Install the part within 5 minutes after applying the sealant. Bead width: 3.0–4.0 mm (0.12–0.16 in). Sealant: TB1217H or LOCTITE 5900H.
  4. Install the oil pan (A). Tighten the bolts evenly in several passes.

    Tightening Torque: 9.8–11.8 N·m

  5. Install the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Fill with engine oil. (Refer to Lubrication System - Engine Oil)
