What to Do in an Emergency

Using the Tire Mobility Kit

~2min read

1. Remove the speed limit label (1) from the sealant bottle (2) and place it in a visible location inside the vehicle, such as on the steering wheel, to remind the driver not to drive too fast.

Carefully follow the steps below.

2. Shake the sealant bottle.

3. Connect the filler hose (3) to the sealant bottle connector (A).

4. Make sure the button (9) on the compressor is not pressed.

5. Unscrew the valve cap from the flat tire valve, and connect the sealant bottle hose (3) to the valve.

6. Insert the sealant bottle into the compressor housing (5) so that the bottle stands upright.

7. Make sure the compressor is switched off, position 0.

CAUTION

Connect the sealant fill hose securely to the valve. Otherwise, sealant may flow backward, or the fill hose may become clogged.

8. Connect the compressor to the vehicle power outlet using the cable and connectors.

9. Using the engine start/stop button in the ON position, or with the ignition key in the ON position, turn on the compressor and let it run for approximately 5-7 minutes to fill the tire with sealant to the correct pressure. Tire inflation pressure after filling is not important and will be checked/adjusted later.

Be careful not to overinflate the tire, and stay away from the tire while it is being filled.

When the tire and wheel are damaged, do not use the Tire Mobility Kit for your safety.

CAUTION

Tire Pressure

Do not attempt to drive the vehicle if tire pressure is below 230 kPa (33 psi). This may cause an accident due to sudden tire failure.

10. Turn off the compressor.

11. Disconnect the hose from the sealant bottle connector and from the tire valve.

Return the Tire Mobility Kit to its storage location in the vehicle.

WARNING

Carbon Monoxide

Carbon monoxide poisoning and suffocation may occur if the engine is left running in a poorly ventilated or enclosed area (for example, inside a garage).
