Repair Procedures

Removal and Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the wiring connectors and wiring harness clips, and remove the connector brackets around the vacuum pump.
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Air Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner").
  4. Disconnect the brake booster vacuum hose (A).
  5. Remove the wiring bracket (A), then remove the vacuum pump (B).

    Tightening torque: 18.6 – 23 N·m

  6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
