Description and Operation

Description

The auto anti-fog sensor is installed on the windshield. The auto anti-fog sensor detects moisture on the windshield. The A/C control module receives the signal from the sensor and removes fog by controlling the intake actuator, A/C compressor, auto anti-fog actuator, blower fan speed, and mode actuator.

Repair Procedures

Inspection

  1. Press the MODE switch more than 4 times within 2 seconds while pressing the OFF switch at the same time.

    00 Normal
    51 Communication with the auto anti-fog sensor and sensor input malfunction

    * For the diagnostic procedure, refer to the DTC chart.

Replacement

  1. Remove the anti-fog sensor cover (A).

  2. Disconnect the connector (B), then remove the auto anti-fog sensor (C).

  3. Installation is the reverse of removal.
