Replacing an Engine Compartment Fuse

1. Turn the ignition switch and all other switches off.
2. Remove the fuse panel cover by pressing the tab and pulling the cover upward. When the blade-type fuse is disconnected, remove it using the fuse puller intended for replacing fuses located in the engine compartment fuse block. After removal, securely insert a spare fuse of the same rating.
3. Inspect the removed fuse; replace it if it is blown. To remove or insert a fuse, use the fuse puller in the fuse block in the engine compartment.
4. Insert a new fuse of the same rating and make sure it is firmly seated in the clips. If it does not fit securely, have it inspected at a professional workshop. Kia recommends consulting an authorized Kia dealer/service partner.
CAUTION
After inspecting the engine compartment fuse panel, securely install the fuse panel cover until it clicks into place.
Otherwise, electrical malfunctions may occur due to water contact.
