The customizable functions in the Lexus GS L10 cover a wide range, from instrument displays through driver assistance systems to door locking. ■ Customizing Vehicle Functions

• When the speed-sensing door lock function and the shift position-linked door lock function are both activated, the door lock operates as follows.

When the shift lever is moved to any position other than "P", all doors are locked. If the vehicle is started while all doors are locked, the speed-sensing door lock function is not activated. If the vehicle is started without all doors locked, the speed-sensing door lock function is activated.

• If the Smart Access System is deactivated, customizing the selection of doors to unlock is not possible.
• If the doors remain closed after unlocking and the automatic door lock function is activated (delay function until the automatic door lock is activated if a door is not opened after unlocking), the signals are output according to the settings for the operation signal (warning buzzer or hazard warning lights).
• You can change some settings using a switch or on the Remote Touch screen. If you change a setting using a switch, the changed setting will not appear on the Remote Touch screen until you turn the engine switch off and then switch to IGNITION ON mode.

■ When customizing functions using Remote Touch

Stop the vehicle in a safe place, apply the parking brake and set the shift lever to "P". Keep the engine running while customizing the functions to prevent the battery from discharging.

Because the engine must be running during customization, the vehicle must be parked in a well-ventilated area. In enclosed spaces such as a garage, exhaust gases, including toxic carbon monoxide (CO), can accumulate and enter the vehicle. This can be fatal or cause serious health damage.
