Cleaning the Seat Belt Webbing

~1min read

Clean the seat belt webbing with a solution of mild shampoo used for cleaning upholstery and carpets. Follow the instructions. Do not bleach or dye the webbing, as this may weaken it.

After cleaning the seat belts, dry the webbing thoroughly and make sure it is not damp before retracting it.

WARNING

Replace damaged seat belts immediately at a specialist workshop; we recommend an Authorized Mazda Dealer. Using a damaged seat belt compromises safety. In a collision, damaged seat belts will not provide proper protection.
