Cleaning upholstery and carpets
Vinyl
Remove dust and other dirt with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
Clean vinyl with a vinyl and leather cleaner.
Leather*
Remove dust and dirt with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner. Clean the leather using a leather cleaner or a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent.
Remove any remaining cleaning agent with a soft cloth dampened with clean water and wrung out thoroughly.
Remove moisture with a dry cloth and leave the leather to dry in a dry, well-ventilated, shaded place. If the leather gets wet, for example from rain, also remove the moisture immediately with a dry cloth.
CAUTION
Genuine leather is not uniform and may have blemishes, scratches and wrinkles.
To keep the leather in good condition, care for it regularly: we recommend cleaning and conditioning it with suitable products at least twice a year.
Sand and dust on the seats may damage the natural surface layer of the leather and accelerate its peeling.
Greasy dirt may cause wrinkling and discolouration of the leather.
Scrubbing with a stiff brush or cloth may damage the leather.
Do not use alcohol, chlorine bleaches, organic solvents, benzene or petrol for cleaning. Otherwise, stains and discolouration may occur.
If the seats get wet, remove the moisture immediately with a soft, dry cloth. Leaving the surface wet may cause the surface quality to deteriorate, resulting in hardening or shrinkage.
Direct exposure to sunlight may cause the leather to deteriorate and shrink. When parking the vehicle in sunlight for an extended period, shade the interior using sunshades.
Do not leave vinyl items on the seats for an extended period, as they may deteriorate the leather or cause discolouration. When the cabin temperature is high, vinyl may stick to the leather surface.
Fabrics
Remove dust and dirt from fabrics with a soft brush or vacuum cleaner.
Clean the fabric using a mild upholstery or carpet shampoo. Remove fresh stains immediately with a fabric stain remover.
To keep fabrics clean and fresh, they must be cared for. Otherwise, they will lose colour, stain easily, and their flame resistance will decrease.
CAUTION
Use only the recommended cleaning agents and procedures. Otherwise, the upholstery fabrics will lose their appearance and their flame resistance will decrease.
Trim panel
If the interior panels need cleaning, use a soft cloth dampened with clean water and wrung out thoroughly, and gently remove dirt from the surface. If the panel requires additional cleaning, follow the procedure below.
1. Wipe off dirt with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent (approx. 5% solution).
2. Remove any remaining detergent with a soft cloth dampened with clean water and wrung out thoroughly.
CAUTION
Do not use alcohol, chlorine bleaches, organic solvents, benzene or petrol to clean leather parts. Otherwise, stains and discolouration may occur.
Scratches or cuts on metal panels and trim, caused by cleaning with a stiff brush or cloth, may be impossible to repair.
Take special care when cleaning high-gloss panels and metal trim, as they can be easily scratched.
