Fastening the seat belt

1. Pull the buckle tongue out to the desired length.

2. Insert the tongue into the buckle until you hear a click.

3. Adjust the belt length.

To lengthen the belt, hold the seat belt buckle at a right angle to the webbing and pull. To shorten it, pull the loose end of the webbing.

4. Make sure the lap belt fits snugly against your body.

WARNING

Using the lap belt: A lap belt positioned too high is dangerous. In a collision, this position concentrates the impact force directly on the abdomen, which can cause serious internal injuries. Position the lap belt as snugly as possible and as low as possible.

Unfastening the seat belt

Press the button in the buckle.
