Brake fluid
During use, brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air. This lowers its boiling point.
If the boiling point of the brake fluid is too low, vapor bubbles can form in the brake system when the brakes are heavily used (on long descents, for example). This reduces braking efficiency.
Have the brake fluid replaced regularly. You will find the brake fluid replacement intervals in the service booklet.
Use only brake fluid approved by Mercedes-Benz. For information on approved brake fluids, contact a qualified workshop or visit the website http://bevo.mercedes-benz.com.
Have the brake fluid checked regularly by a qualified workshop.A reminder label showing the next brake fluid replacement due date is usually affixed in the engine compartment.
